PhotoTriggers,

the new interactive e-learning tool,

is now available on Virtual Campus

in all prisons in England and Wales.

 

 

PhotoTriggers is a new interactive e-learning tool for primary and secondary schools, colleges of further education and prisons.

 

•PhotoTriggers uses black and white photos taken over fifty years ago to stimulate learning and exploration of social history and ways of living then and now.  

 

•The PhotoTriggers course of 7 units

comes with full accreditation from Aim Awards www.aimawards.org.uk

and qualifies the prison learning institution for draw-down funding

from the UK Skills Funding Agency (SFA).

Biographies

 

Jonathan Mantle is a writer, journalist and film maker whose work is published in sixteen languages and thirty countries.  He has been involved with education since working as an adult literacy teacher in London in the late 1970s.  He mentors young creatives and creates and leads cross-cultural learning programmes for students and professionals from China and South-East Asia at Cambridge University.  

 

Tony Othen has been a professional photographer for over fifty years, specialising in educational and charitable clients. He is active in community initiatives in Greenwich where he has lived for many years. Now termed Social Action photography, his work is recognised as pioneering in this field and has been exhibited in London, Cardiff and mainland Europe.
